Fall Fire Prevention Tips

Fall Fire Prevention tips to follow

Check detectors 

We will soon be changing our clock and with this can be a reminder to change the batteries in our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Making this a habit with each time change can save the life of you and your loved ones.

Space Heaters

When using a space heater, be sure there is a minimum of three feet open space around it. Always unplug when not in use. 

Never Park car over pile of leaves 

The heat from a catalytic converter or exhaust system can ignite leaves below.

Planned escape route 

Be sure you and your family have a planned escape route. Be sure to train everyone to stay low to the ground when escaping a fire keeping your head 12-24 above the floor.
